Troop 17893 Bronze Award 2024-25
Our Story
We are a passionate group of 4th and 5th graders (commonly known as “Juniors”) from Girl Scout Troop 17893. We reside in Bloomington and our multi-age troop is a thriving community. Our Bronze Award (the highest award Juniors can achieve) is to host a BINGO night at a local senior center that we make the prizes for! And, to make it last, we’ve created this web page for crafts and activities to do with your Senior friends.
With lots of love & cookies,
The Juniors

Plan a Bingo Night
- Brainstorm: plan ideas and questions. Who are you working with? What would they enjoy? What kind of prizes make or buy? Where are you doing your BINGO night? When? How are you executing?
- Ask a credible expert: we asked an Activities Director. Gather your questions, find an expert/person who knows your audience and BINGO, and ask!
- Make another plan: this plan should be more detailed and has EVERYTHING. What do you need to bring?
- Execute: arrive early to set up. Work hard, and if you need to improvise… be resourceful. And most importantly…
HAVE FUN!

Create Door Hangers
- Look online for door hanger ideas
- Bulk order larger wood plaques – we used Dollar Tree
- Ask community for donations – like ribbon, paint, fake flowers, etc
- Purchase other supplies – like Krylon Easy Tack, Mod Podge, hot glue, other decorations
- Cut or purchase stencils
- Paint wooden plaques
- Apply Mod Podge to wooden plaques after the paint dries
- Spray Easy Tack on the back of stencils and press down onto wooden plaques in desired location
- Daub paint into stencils using up/down motion (no smearing)
- Allow to dry for 10 minutes and remove stencils
- Decorate plaques with accessories of your choice
- Enjoy!
